West Blocton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tuscaloosa County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

West Blocton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Crimson Calhoun, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Calhoun has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

West Blocton's defeat dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Tuscaloosa County, their victory bumped their record up to 35-11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Blocton will head out to take on Bibb County at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tuscaloosa County, they will venture away from home to challenge Prattville at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
