Basketball Recap: Summit International Prep Comes Up Short

Summit International Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 40-32 to Young Men's Leadership Academy. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Young Men's Leadership Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Summit International Prep's record now sits at 1-4. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit International Prep will take on Pantego Christian in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pantego Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Young Men's Leadership Academy and Trinity Leadership will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Leadership is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
