Basketball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Folsom Bulldogs

Whitney is 0-10 against Folsom since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Whitney Wildcats will host the Folsom Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Whitney came up short against Oak Ridge and fell 71-61. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Folsom came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over the Golden Eagles. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Folsom's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Whitney, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Whitney came up short against Folsom in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 69-63. Can Whitney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
