West Craven came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Ayden - Grifton, but Hatteras Jenkins wouldn't allow it. The Ayden - Grifton Chargers secured a 68-63 W over the West Craven Eagles on Monday thanks to Jenkins, who posted 17 points and seven assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played.

Despite the loss, West Craven still got an impressive performance from Jimmie West lll, who almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, West lll now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Heath, who had eight points and six steals.

Ayden - Grifton's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for West Craven, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Ayden - Grifton has already played their next game, an 88-57 defeat against Washington on the 13th. As for West Craven, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-61 loss against North Pitt on the 11th.
