Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crossroads). They put the hurt on the Viewpoint Patriots with a sharp 20-1 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Roadrunners considering their two-run performance the match before.
Leo Le Blanc was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Le Blanc was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Crossroads let Jake McCaffrey and Avery Deutch run wild. McCaffrey got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Deutch went 4-for-5 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Deutch a new career-high. Oliver Winkler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
