Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Central Flashes vs. Warren Central Warriors

The Franklin Central Flashes will venture away from home to take on the Warren Central Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Franklin Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Fishers, who was ranked second at the time (Franklin Central was ranked fifth). The Flashes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Flashes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Fishers scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Warren Central came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Christel House by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Warren Central walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 18-25, 25-14.

Franklin Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Warren Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Franklin Central took their victory against Warren Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flashes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
