Basketball Recap: Doyline Comes Up Short

Doyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 84-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quitman Wolverines. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Doyline's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Quitman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Doyline will be playing in front of their home fans against Weston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quitman, they will face off against Choudrant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Quitman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 games.
