It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Franklin Parish ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Family Community Christian 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Franklin Parish's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Family Community Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
