Baseball Recap: Riverton Falls Short Against Ranked Bingham

Riverton faced Bingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Silverwolves took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners. The Silverwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Gaige Woods was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4.

Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bingham beat Riverton by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.
