Polk County is 8-2 against Hendersonville since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Polk County barely beat Avery County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines blew past the Vikings 3-0 on Thursday.

While Polk County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-16.

Hendersonville extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Shelbie Cannon. The Bearcats blew past Mountain Heritage 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Cannon, who had ten digs and three blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hendersonville was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 25-13.

Polk County's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Hendersonville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Polk County skirted past Hendersonville 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
