It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Burroughs can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkway Central Colts on Tuesday. The Bombers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Burroughs ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Ries Schnuck paced Burroughs' offense, picking up 24 kills. Schnuck got some help from Kaitlyn Ahn and her 35 assists. Schnuck was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Parkway Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tessa Wall, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Wall has posted over her last seven matchups. Avery Smith was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 17-8-1. As for Parkway Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-11-2.

Burroughs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkway Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Hannibal on the 1st.
