Franklin won the last time they faced McDaniel and Cooper Haug did his part to make sure it happened again. The Quakers walked away with a 28-21 win over the Mountain Lions on Thursday thanks in part to Haug, who rushed for 165 yards and two scores while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Franklin's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-6 when he doesn't).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Franklin's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Favian Andrade, Finnegan McTaggart, and Abraham Heintzman, who each picked up one sack apiece.

McDaniel lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tre'Marion Crawford, who picked up 158 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 57 yards. Jesse Jones was another key player, rushing for 93 yards and one score.

Franklin's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for McDaniel, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

As of now, neither Franklin nor the Mountain Lions have any future games scheduled.
