Basketball Game Preview: Pearl Pirates vs. St. Martin Yellow Jackets

The Pearl Pirates will take on the St. Martin Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Pearl's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Pearl will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Brandon, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Pearl walked away with a 64-54 victory over Brandon on Friday. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly ten points.

Meanwhile, St. Martin came up short against Ocean Springs on Thursday and fell 51-41. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pearl's win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for St. Martin, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
