Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Morgan Crutcher and Ke'miyah Buggs Lead Fayette Ware to Victory

On Wednesday, the Fayette Ware Wildcats were able to grind out a solid win over the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles, taking the game 54-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Fayette Ware was led to victory by Ke'Miyah Buggs and Morgan Crutcher. Buggs posted 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Crutcher had 19 points and eight steals. The contest was Buggs' 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Victory McKinnie, who scored eight points and three steals.

Fayette Ware's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fayette Ware Wildcats duke it out with the Kirby Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they will head out to take on Hutchison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hutchison will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something St. Benedict at Auburndale surely won't give up without a fight.
