Olmsted Falls won the last time they faced Avon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Eagles. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly three runs.

Luke Perkins made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Perkins was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Perkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Norton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Nate Hrabnicky also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Olmsted Falls and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Avon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Olmsted Falls is taking a road trip to take on Rocky River at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Avon, they will be playing at home against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
