Football Recap: Charleston Falls Short of Portageville in the Playoffs

Charleston and Portageville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Charleston had to settle for second. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 28-14 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-18 back in September.

Charleston has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Portageville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Portageville, they will square off against Hayti at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
