Volleyball Recap: Richfield Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Richfield faced off against Payson on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Lions. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Richfield was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

Jerzy Moon paced Richfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Moon got some help from Adrie Seely and her 30 assists. Seely also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mailee Albrecht, racking up two apiece.

Richfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Payson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richfield will head out to take on Pine View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Payson, they will venture away from home to face off against West Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
