Basketball Game Preview: Troy Trojans vs. North Penn-Mansfield Tigers

Troy has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while North Penn-Mansfield has won ten straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Troy Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

On Thursday, Troy humbled Wyalusing Valley with an 80-13 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-9.

Meanwhile, North Penn-Mansfield hadn't done well against Wellsboro recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. North Penn-Mansfield blew past Wellsboro 63-33. That looming 63-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Troy was able to grind out a solid victory over North Penn-Mansfield when the teams last played back in January, winning 70-59. Will Troy repeat their success, or does North Penn-Mansfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
