Basketball Game Preview: Connally Cadets vs. Lorena Leopards

Connally and Lorena are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Connally Cadets will be playing at home against the Lorena Leopards at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Connally has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Connally was able to grind out a solid win over Robinson, taking the game 62-54. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Rockets are ranked 1028th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lorena earned a 53-42 victory over Gatesville on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Connally has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Lorena, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
