Football Recap: Anderson C Comes Up Short on the Road Against Orangeburg-Wilkinson

Anderson C had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins and fell 48-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orangeburg-Wilkinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Avinger, who rushed for 55 yards and two TDs. Another receiver making a difference was Daylin Haltiwanger, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson C will face off against Christ Church Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Airport at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
