Volleyball Recap: Indian Lake's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Indian Lake lost against Bellefontaine back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chieftains. The game marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Indian Lake couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Bellefontaine a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-30, 26-24, 25-22.

Loss or not, Indian Lake got some senior leadership from Riley Ross and Addison Beck. Ross had 25 digs and one assist, while Beck had ten digs. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Ross.

Having lost for the first time this season, Indian Lake fell to 4-1. As for Bellefontaine, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Indian Lake is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Tecumseh at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bellefontaine, they will square off against Benjamin Logan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
