Basketball Recap: Brody Tolman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mountain View over Timberline

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberline Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 51-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Tolman, who posted nine points and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Harris, who put up 11 points.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Timberline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-46 defeat against Meridian on the 21st. Timberline has also already played their next matchup, a 56-32 win against Eagle on the 21st.
