Recap: Swansboro Pirates vs. J.H. Rose Rampants

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Swansboro Pirates had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Rampants 58-55. The win was nothing new for Swansboro as they're now sitting on 26 straight.

Swansboro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tayvion Tangiora out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tangiora is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Cunningham, who scored ten points along with two steals.

J.H. Rose lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Grimes, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Grimes hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Elijah Carroll, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Swansboro's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-1. As for J.H. Rose, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Swansboro will stay at home for another game and welcome First Flight at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th. One thing working in Swansboro's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 26 matches. J.H. Rose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
