Volleyball Recap: Bert Corona Charter Comes Up Short

Bert Corona Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the CHAMPS Panthers. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Bert Corona Charter took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-14, 15-10.

Bert Corona Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for CHAMPS, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Looking ahead, Bert Corona Charter will head out to challenge Triumph Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for CHAMPS, they will be taking part in a tournament against Panorama at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
