Baseball Recap: Tustin Tillers vs. Brea Olinda Wildcats
Tustin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Brea Olinda Wildcats. The Tillers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.
Tustin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Policare, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Tustin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Brea Olinda, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Coming up, Tustin will take on Woodbridge in a tournament on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Tillers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brea Olinda, they will be taking part in a tournament against Linfield Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
