Riverside and Shenango are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will be strutting in after a win while Shenango will be coming in after a loss.

Riverside will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Friday, then bounced right back against Freedom Area on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 20-0 shutout. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Jasmine Ewing was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That hit marked the first that she has got this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Cummings, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Riverside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Laurel hit Shenango with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-1. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Shenango saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Byerly, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

The win got Riverside back to even at 3-3. As for Shenango, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Riverside suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Shenango in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
