Volleyball Recap: West Union Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If West Union was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eastern last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons came up short against the Alexander Spartans on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-7, 25-9.

Shelbi Weakley paced West Union's offense, picking up five kills. Weakley got some help from Annabelle McIntosh and her four assists.

Abbi Ohms was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and one assist. Maddy Penrod also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

West Union's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Alexander, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

West Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexander, after both having extra time off, they and Westfall will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
