Baseball Recap: Clarkstown South's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Clarkstown South dropped their record down to 14-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the North Rockland Raiders by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 back in March.

Joseph Rosario was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Justin Amodeo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

As for North Rockland, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Clarkstown South since May 2, 2023.

On North Rockland's side, Jacob Herrera and Jaden Vasquez did most of the damage at the plate: Herrera got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Vasquez went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Vasquez has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Mariotti, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Clarkstown South didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 loss against Fox Lane on the 12th. As for North Rockland, they have also already played their next match, a 10-3 victory against Scarsdale on the 12th.
