After flying high against Paxton-Buckley-Loda on Monday, Tolono Unity came back down to earth. The Rockets fell just short of the Monticello Sages by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Rockets' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Tolono Unity saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tre Hoggard, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Tolono Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Monticello, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolono Unity will take on Mattoon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
