Football Recap: Brookfield's Rushing Attack Does It Again

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brookfield can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Saturday and fell 21-20 to the St. Joseph Cadets. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Loss or not, Brookfield got some senior leadership from Nyzir Torres and Michael Walters. Torres rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while Walters rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown.

Even though they lost, Brookfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in 19 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
