Baseball Recap: Cranston East Takes a Loss

Cranston East blew Central out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Central got their revenge. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Knights by a score of 8-6. Thunderbolts fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Knights since on Saturday.

Cranston East's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cranston East will face off against Mt. Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbolts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central, they will challenge Toll Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
