Byron Nelson came tearing into Friday's contest with 41 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals by a score of 2-0.

Byron Nelson can attribute much of their success to Kaitlyn Francis, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Francis has posted since back in November of 2024.

Byron Nelson's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Byron Nelson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against 'Iolani on the 15th. As for Cardinal Newman, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on University at 6:30 p.m. on the 27th.
