Basketball Game Preview: Mascoutah Indians vs. Triad Knights

The Mascoutah Indians will square off against the Triad Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Mascoutah came up short against Marshall County and fell 71-64. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 102nd in Illinois, while the Marshals are ranked fourth in Kentucky).

Meanwhile, Triad also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Highland by a score of 59-51.

This is the second loss in a row for Mascoutah and nudges their season record down to 14-10. As for Triad, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6.

Mascoutah beat Triad 47-38 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Does Mascoutah have another victory up their sleeve, or will Triad turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
