Softball Recap: Etiwanda Eagles vs. Poly Bears

Etiwanda lost to Poly back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Etiwanda Eagles never let the Poly Bears get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Alyssa Galindo was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brianna Gutierrez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kimberlee Aleman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
