Softball Recap: Coral Springs Charter Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Coral Springs Charter waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Stoneman Douglas Eagles by a score of 6-1. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Coral Springs Charter let Addi Michel and Bree Martinelli run wild. Michel scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Martinelli went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Martinelli has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Heather Robertson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Coral Springs Charter pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Stoneman Douglas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Coral Springs Charter Panthers duke it out with West Broward Bobcats at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. West Broward's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Coral Springs Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stoneman Douglas, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cooper City at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
