Baseball Game Preview: Prairie Ridge Wolves vs. Plano Reapers

The Prairie Ridge Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Plano Reapers at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prairie Ridge has three straight wins, Plano has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Prairie Ridge beats Plano with three runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Prairie Ridge beat Rivercrest on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2.

Sean Sherwood made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Prairie Ridge got a great performance from Owen Satterlee as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched.

Back at the plate, Maddon McKim was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Plano came up short against Fort Smith P on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Plano saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amari Bryant, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Prairie Ridge's record now sits at 3-1-1. As for Plano, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
