Baseball Recap: Butte Comes Up Short

Butte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Big Sky, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 12, 2025.

Tegan Duffy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kodye Kjersten, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Butte's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Big Sky, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butte will welcome Russell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Big Sky, they will host East Helena at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
