Gulfport came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Briarcrest Christian Saints.

Gulfport got a great performance from Taevion Collier as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. Collier has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gulfport saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Crosby, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Gulfport pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Briarcrest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Gulfport will venture away from home to challenge D'Iberville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Briarcrest Christian, they will challenge Hartfield Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
