Basketball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 58-35 to the Bullitt East Chargers. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 82-52 to the Chargers when the teams met back in January of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Bullitt East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern will venture away from home to square off against Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bullitt East, they will challenge Fairdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 73.57 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
