New Trier posted their closest win since November 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Loyola Academy Ramblers, sneaking past 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trevians also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was New Trier who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 23-25, 25-20.

New Trier's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Loyola Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Trier will venture away from home to challenge Deerfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyola Academy, they will head out to square off against St. Laurence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Ramblers surely won't give up without a fight.
