Baseball Recap: James Logan Wins Going Away Against Mission San Jose

James Logan won the last time they faced Mission San Jose and things went their way on Friday too. The Colts put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Wesley Vega and Ben Towers dominated on the mound. Vega pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Towers tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Vega is becoming a predictor of James Logan's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Jordan Medina was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Keoni Speakman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

James Logan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission San Jose only posted a batting average of .217.

James Logan's record is now 13-9. As for Mission San Jose, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
