Volleyball Recap: Alameda Pirates vs. Severance Silver Knights

Alameda and Severance squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Alameda had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Silver Knights. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Severance to victory were Zeke Wawrzyniak and Gabe Schneekloth. Wawrzyniak had nine digs and two aces, while Schneekloth hit 66.7% for five kills and six aces and four digs. Those 66.7% hitting percentage gave Schneekloth a new career-high.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Severance, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
