Baseball Recap: Varela Vipers vs. South Dade Buccaneers
Varela owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. Everything went their way against the South Dade Buccaneers as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The Vipers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 15-4).
Varela got a great performance from Andy Espinoza as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Espinoza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
