Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kj Blackhawk and Braylon Wegner Lead Bancroft-Rosalie to Victory

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Bancroft-Rosalie ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Omaha Nation Chiefs with a 90-85 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Bancroft-Rosalie was led to victory by Braylon Wegner and Kj Blackhawk. Wegner almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Blackhawk went 12-for-24 en route to 35 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arian Marrufo, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.

Despite the loss, Omaha Nation still got an impressive performance from Dason Romo, who dropped a double-double with 40 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Romo's third in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kane Sheridan, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

The win got Bancroft-Rosalie back to even at 1-1. As for Omaha Nation, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bancroft-Rosalie will welcome Clarkson/Leigh at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Omaha Nation, they will challenge Winnebago at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
