Softball Preview: Colton Vikings vs. Country Christian Cougars        
        
		
            
 The Colton Vikings will head out on the road to  take on  the Country Christian Cougars at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Colton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.3  runs per game  this season.
 Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Colton finally turned things around against Country Christian  on Monday. Colton came out on top against Country Christian by a score of  15-10.
  Gracie Hakes was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   12  hits. Hakes was even better at the plate,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Katelynn Kimsey, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  triples,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Chayse Smith, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Colton's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-11. As for Country Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
