Basketball Preview: Trinity Titans vs. Bishop Ryan Lions
Trinity is on a three-game streak of home wins, while the Lions are on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Trinity Titans will take on the Bishop Ryan Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 289 points over their last five contests.
Last Thursday, Trinity beat the Saints 56-44. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Saints are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Ryan took a 25-point loss the last time they faced off against the Sioux, but they managed to turn things around on Thursday. Bishop Ryan skirted past the Sioux 56-53.
Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Bishop Ryan, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
Trinity didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Lions in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. Does Trinity have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
