Softball Recap: City of Life Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Calvary Chapel Academy

City of Life Christian Academy won against All Saints' Academy last Thursday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The City of Life Christian Academy Warriors blew past the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Adelaide Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Natalia Duran, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

City of Life Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .812. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for City of Life Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4 All Saints' Academy and 2-4 Calvary Chapel Academy. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

City of Life Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on All Saints' Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Master's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
