Softball Recap: Gulf Breeze Takes a Loss

Gulf Breeze and Niceville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gulf Breeze had to settle for second. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Dolphins haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Gulf Breeze's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Niceville, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6.

Gulf Breeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niceville, they will take on Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Timberwolves a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
