The Martinsburg Bulldogs waltzed into their game Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 36-23 victory over Hedgesville. Given Martinsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Hedgesville is ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Martinsburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hedgesville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
