Basketball Game Preview: Midview Middies vs. North Ridgeville Rangers

Midview and North Ridgeville are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Midview Middies will be playing at home against the North Ridgeville Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midview is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Midview is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Berea-Midpark on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Midview was outmatched by Berea-Midpark and fell 77-38. The Middies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-18.

The losing side was boosted by Brady Newton, who went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brennen Newton, who posted five points.

Even though they lost, Midview was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Ridgeville). They managed an 87-82 win over Brookside on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Midview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for North Ridgeville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
